Cerebral palsy(CP) is one of the most common developmental disabilities. CP is a bracket term given for a set of neurological disorders characterized by disorders of movement and posture causing activity limitation attributed to a static disturbance in the developing brain, often accompanied by associated impairments and secondary health conditions.
Physiotherapists play a key role with their multidisciplinary approach. The main aim of physiotherapy is to support the patient to achieve their potential for physical independence and fitness level and to improve the quality of life. Physiotherapy focuses on function, movement and optional use of patient’s potential and sues physical approach to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well being.
